Utility Arboriculture
We work with DNOs like UK Power Networks by cutting trees and vegetation away from the power lines and associated equipment helping to ensure the network remains safe and the electricity supply remains constant and uninterrupted.
Pruning
Pruning/Crown Reduction involves reducing individual branches of a tree or a trees’ whole canopy to improve health, shape and safety, while maintaining structural integrity. This can be beneficial if a tree is too large or causing light issues. Crown reduction can also be an effective method of reducing wind loading which is a major cause of failure in trees. We will always endeavour to carry out our reductions adhering to best practice, according to the British Standard (BS3998).
Felling and Removal
We can remove any tree in any location. Often a trees location will require it to be removed in sections, as opposed to felled over in one go. We are experts in safely dismantling trees in awkward spaces and preserving the surrounding area. We can use rigging techniques to safely dismantle trees piece by piece without causing damage to adjacent property, landscape or targets.
Pollarding
Pollarding is an excellent management technique for certain species, particularly in urban environments. Pollarding involves the complete removal of all foliage, leaving only a bare frame. Please be careful if considering this management technique, as many species are not tolerant and will respond poorly or die. Contact us to find out whether your species is suitable for pollarding.

Stump Grinding
Stump grinding is a method of removing tree stumps by using a specialized machine to grind the wood into small chips. This process eliminates the stump below ground level, allowing for easy landscaping or replanting. It’s a quick and efficient alternative to stump removal.
